UareSpecial

The association uarespecial supports families with children with different needs and aims to raise awareness in society and promote the idea of inclusion.

The main reason for founding the association is to share and exchange information. We help navigate the bureaucratic jungle, fill out necessary forms together, but also see ourselves as a source of emotional support in difficult situations. Our regular meetings and outings encourage lively exchange, but also offer space for fun and normality, as do our creative workshop and our UK Café. Furthermore, we offer both online and in-person opportunities for continuing education and exchange.

 Holy-Days Association
24. December

Holy-Days Association

Holy Days offers families with children with disabilities and chronic illnesses a supervised flight and vacation by the sea. A week of relaxation and respite for the whole family!

Family members of children with disabilities achieve great things... in addition to health concerns and care services (in many cases 24/365), they often lack financial resources and, above all, opportunities for relief. Despite the high physical and mental stress, vacation and relaxation are foreign concepts. Vacation usually just means relocating the "workplace"; the worries and responsibilities travel with them.

Siblings, in particular, often have to put their needs aside, as many things are simply impossible with a child in high need of care, or all of their attention and energy are channeled into the agreed-upon care! A vacation, something that seems perfectly normal for most, has often been impossible for affected families for years. Air travel is avoided because there is no medical care on board in an emergency, and the organizational effort is considerable.

With Holy-Days we break this barrier where there shouldn't be any, and make the impossible possible!
