Working together for educational opportunities: 400 PCs from Austria for vocational schools in Nigeria
A fantastic collaborative project is enabling young people in Nigeria to receive future-proof IT training: The dedicated initiator Anton Edl, in cooperation with the Viennese association “PCs für alle“and the Don Bosco Mission Austria collected around 400 computers, monitors, printers, and network equipment. Poverty hits single parents particularly hard.

Recently, a man visited us bringing several laptops for repair – not for himself, but for his fellow residents in an assisted living facility. What initially seemed like a routine repair request turned into a conversation that deeply moved us. The man is only 50 years old. After suffering a stroke, he now has to manage with a very limited professional capacity.

The latest OECD figures paint an alarming picture: Almost a third of adults in Austria cannot adequately read and understand simple texts. Help for a home for blind people in Kharkiv - Continuation
Thanks to your support, we were able to implement some of our plans. For World Down Syndrome Day on March 21
Viktoria Tsykalo, 24, had to flee her Ukrainian hometown of Kharkiv with her mother two years ago to escape the Russian war of aggression. We already reported last year on Joe Höllwarth and his incredible commitment to Iraq. Joe is from Tyrol and a stonemason by trade, and he also has a big heart and admirably long-term perspective when it comes to aid transports to Iraq. Around the national holiday, the lyrics of the national anthem are often on everyone's lips. "Homeland, you are the home of great sons and daughters," it says.
