100 PCs for schools in Dubowe: A sign of digital education and solidarity
A distinguished visitor at our Vienna workshop! A delegation from the Ukrainian town of Dubowe (Transcarpathian region) undertook the long journey and traveled to Vienna in person to 100 complete PC systems, laptops and several printers to be picked up for schools. You can see the three representatives of the municipality loading the vehicles in the pictures.
The delegation consisted of:
Denys Kahanets (Chairman of the Dubowe Town Council)
Yaroslav Mykhailovych (Member of the Dubowe City Council and Head of the Department for Education, Family, Youth and Sport)
Ivan Meklesh (Deputy Mayor)
Why computers are indispensable for education
In today's world, access to computers is no longer a luxury, but the fundamental basis for a modern education. Digital media opens the door to the world for children, enables modern, interactive lessons, and ensures digital participation. Especially in regions marked by severe crises, learning on a computer is a crucial building block in giving children a sense of normalcy, knowledge, and a real perspective for the future.
Thousands of PCs for Ukraine: Aid that arrives
This campaign is part of a great success story: PCs für alle has long been deeply committed to Ukraine. To date, we have already been able to donating thousands of computers to schools, hospitals and public institutions in Ukraine. Each individual device helps directly on-site to maintain life under difficult conditions and to secure educational opportunities.
A huge thank you goes to Horia Baciu from Romania, who, as usual, perfectly organized the entire project. This initiative was once again a testament to international solidarity – across borders, in the best interests of the children.
We wish the schools in Dubove a successful start and much enjoyment with the new IT equipment!
