Almost three years ago, Austrian students were suddenly forced to homeschool. And the Viennese initiative PCs for All has been around for almost as long. The association collects and repairs old laptops, PCs, and accessories, and distributes them to children and their parents who can't afford new computers.
Last year, they primarily cared for Ukrainian refugee children. The initiative has been able to refurbish and distribute around 18.000 devices in recent years. The need is still far from being met.
