Refugees from Ukraine have since become part of our daily work. With Tymur, a very young Ukrainian computer whiz who has been supporting us in our workshop after school for months, we've gained another valuable team member who can also act as an interpreter. More than 1.000 people from Ukraine have already taken advantage of our offer and received computers from us. We want to make it easier for them to stay in touch with their homeland and, above all, help the many Ukrainian children in Austria. With the computers, they can participate in Ukrainian online lessons and take exams at Ukrainian schools. We've also provided computers to 40 Ukrainian orphans in Upper Austria, as you can see in this ORF television report: https://youtu.be/SORBzfE1pDc
Most recently, together with the Ukrainian embassy, we organized a shipment of computers, network hardware, and printers to equip the administration of Kharkiv, a city besieged by the Russians for months. The second shipment, delivered the day before yesterday, provides Ukrainian schoolchildren with computers. Here is the ORF TVthek-Wienheute report on it.
