I receive such calls almost daily—mostly from anonymous numbers, but also one from the public mobile network and one with a UK area code.

I receive such calls almost every day - mostly from anonymous numbers, but also one from the Austrian mobile network and once with a UK area code.

I received a fraudulent call earlier and was able to record the conversation. They claimed that someone had access to my Amazon account and was trying to use it to order gift cards. 

I was then connected to other "departments," and ultimately, all they wanted me to do was install the "Anydesk" software on my phone. This is software for remote computer maintenance, and this would have given them full access to my phone and the data on it. 

The rest was just gibberish meant to lull me into a false sense of security. Please turn up the volume if you want to hear the conversation. This time the sound quality is very good.
