Together we are strong.

Joe Höllwarth, Doctors of Peace and us – together we achieve more, as in a current project for women in Iraq.

We already reported last year on Joe Höllwarth and his incredible commitment to Iraq. Joe is from Tyrol and a stonemason by trade, and he also has a big heart and admirably long-term perspective when it comes to aid transports to Iraq. We were very pleased to receive the photos he sent us recently. One of the last transports also included PCs and monitors, which we PCs für alle You can see how the devices are in use - young women can now attend computer science courses there, which are run by the organization "Doctors of Peace" https://www.facebook.com/Doctorsofpeace/

Two of these dedicated doctors also visited us in the workshop today: Dr. Jamal Dakhini, board member and co-founder of the organization, and Dr. Hussein Rasho, chairman of the board of Doctors of Peace. We were delighted with this visit and the exchange. The gentleman in the yellow sweater is Joe, by the way, and our Peter Bernscherer is leaning on his shoulder. Such moments and encounters, as well as the photos from Iraq, are like balm for us and motivate us to keep going because we see that our commitment makes sense and that we can often help improve the situation for at least a few people, even under the most difficult circumstances.
