Even small amounts help us with our work, and we are especially happy about standing orders.

PCs für alle in Tanzania
Livia Bammer from "Engineers Without Borders" has already brought laptops from us to Tanzania for the second time, and it seems as though this will become a long-term collaboration. Of course, we can achieve very little outside of Austria, but even tiny drops can wear away stones.
The pictures are from the Young Mothers Home project in Biharamulo, Tanzania.

Here's more information about the project:
The "Asa Jua" project involves the installation of two independent photovoltaic systems in western Tanzania to provide social facilities with reliable, renewable energy. In Biharamulo, an 18 kW solar power system with battery storage is being built to supply a site with a sewing workshop, a beauty salon, a recycling plant, and supported accommodation for young mothers. A smaller system is being constructed in Kayanga, where it will exclusively power a plastics recycling workshop. Both sites were developed in recent years by the organization MOJO Fullscale Studios in cooperation with other NGOs and local partners, and are operated by the Catholic Diocese of Rulenge-Ngara. The project aims to secure stable jobs and create opportunities for disadvantaged women – especially young, single mothers who are supported and assisted by the Catholic Diocese of Rulenge-Ngara. The project is being implemented by Engineers Without Borders Austria in collaboration with local companies.
In addition, a solar thermal system was installed during the project trip for a neighboring primary school, which is intended to improve hygiene and the daily lives of the children on site.
