Collection box for equipment donations at DREI
What should you do with old IT hardware that still works but is no longer needed? .....
What Petra Jakob, Head of Corporate Communication at DREI Austria, has to say about this.
"The Union PCs für alle has the best solution: It accepts used PCs, laptops, monitors, and accessories as donations. These devices are then PCs für alleteam and then handed over free of charge to schools, charitable NGOs and people who cannot afford them themselves.
At Drei Österreich, we donate not only old company hardware—over 1.000 no longer needed laptops were donated last year—but our employees also have the opportunity to donate personal hardware. Thanks to the collection box we've now set up at our headquarters in Vienna. Thank you, Peter Bernscherer, for the uncomplicated and brilliant collaboration!
A truly great idea: in the photo, Matthias Krumpel, Head of Facilities at Drei Austria, and our incredibly hardworking Beate are setting up a collection box. It will now be located at DREI headquarters, where employees can drop off computers they would like to donate to the organization.
Many thanks to the entire DREI team for their amazing support!
By the way: From the idea to the conception and realization, as seen here, it took just six weeks. Including holidays!
