Supporting the children at the Adolf Lorenz School
We would like to support a school for disabled children during the upcoming holidays and need your help.
Our non-profit organization PCs FOR ALL organizes a program for disabled children of Dr. Adolf Lorenz School from the 23rd district. We would be very grateful if you could support the school financially or with donations in kind.
100 percent of the proceeds go to the school's parents' association. At the Dr. Adolf Lorenz School, children with multiple disabilities receive instruction based on the elementary school curriculum, middle school curriculum, general special school curriculum, or special school for children with advanced needs, with tailored support as needed.
The proceeds are intended to finance extracurricular activities in which the children receive special support. This begins with short excursions within Vienna, continues with the bi-weekly therapeutic and therapeutic horse training at the Schottenhof riding stables, and culminates in project weeks in the federal states. For the children, this means not only positive physical experiences but also a little bit of adventure and a change from everyday life.
These activities incur costs for the children's families, which often place a significant strain on their already strained budgets and, in some cases, even overwhelm them. Transportation for the children is particularly costly. Since many of them rely on wheelchairs, two accessible minibuses are needed for each small class. To ensure that all children remain in the same class and can participate, the parents' association, which we want to support with our campaign, steps in in such cases.
PCs FOR ALL collects used laptops, PCs, monitors, tablets, and other computer equipment from companies and private individuals for people at risk of poverty, poorly equipped schools, and non-profit organizations. Because children and young people, in particular, must not lose their digital connection during their education and training. We were recently able to provide the Dr. Adolf Lorenz School with three video projectors free of charge for classroom use.
