From donor to recipient: Habau Group notebooks help eliminate child poverty
A regular supporter of PCs for All is the Habau Group. We recently received another batch of notebooks from the construction company based in Perg, Upper Austria.
After our usual device check, which involves checking the hardware, deleting any existing data, and updating the software, we donated five of the high-performance laptops to Volkshilfe's "Eradicate Child Poverty" project. 353.000 children and young people in Austria live in families either poor or at risk of poverty. Therefore, Volkshilfe is advocating for a basic child benefit based on income.
In addition, Volkshilfe provides direct assistance to those affected by the need for education and childcare costs, as well as free leisure activities for children and young people. Volkshilfe social workers also assist with applications for state social benefits.
Volkshilfe is happy to support PCs for All in its joint fight for more opportunities for children. Donations like those from the Habau Group help us achieve this.
