When retirement becomes a donation machine
Some people retire and buy themselves a deck chair. Andrea Gintenstorfer received equipment and monetary donations for the association at her farewell party. PCs für alle were collected.
Since its inception, Andrea has supported the organization with monthly contributions—quietly, reliably, and without fanfare. Then came her farewell celebration. While other employees celebrating anniversaries received flowers, Andrea promptly turned her colleagues into donors. The result: donations of devices and money for people who urgently need digital inclusion.
We say thank you, Andrea — for your loyalty, for your creativity, and for using your last day of work to help others. Here's to retirement, which apparently won't be a retirement at all.
