Donate devices
Donate devices as a private individual
Do you have an old PC, tablet, or laptop that you no longer use? Many of these devices still work, and it would be a shame to throw them away. But you don't use them anymore. So they're sitting around unused, gathering dust.
Bring your old PC or laptop to us – because old hardware can still be of great use!
The children and young people receive a fully functional device and can learn, work and communicate more easily for school.

Frequently asked questions
- Which devices are suitable?
-
We are pleased to receive the following functional devices:
- Computer (flat) screens all sizes (please no CRT monitors or 4:3 monitors!)
- desktop PCs (from Windows 7 or macOS Sierra 10.12)
- Laptops all performance classes
- Tablets & Smartphones (Please remove the PIN code and unlock pattern, preferably reset and restart. Please also deregister Apple devices from iCloud.)
- Keyboards & Mice
- Webcams & Headphones
- printer (please only functional devices, if there is still ink/toner inside, that would also be very nice)
- Server hardware (after consultation, gladly)
- How old can the devices be?
- Desktops and laptops should be no older than 10 years. If you're not sure how old the device is, if it has a sticker saying Windows 95, Windows 2000, or Windows Me on it, then unfortunately it's too old. Smartphones and tablets should be up to 5 years old.
- What happens to the devices?
- We ensure professional data erasure and refurbish the devices. All devices are equipped with internet and office software, a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The devices are then donated free of charge to financially disadvantaged individuals, schools, charitable NGOs, and others.
- What happens to the data still stored on the devices?
- Any remaining data on donated devices will be professionally deleted or destroyed. This ensures your data will not fall into the wrong hands.
- How is it decided who gets my device?
- The association's board reviews the requests and decides together who needs which device. We then distribute the devices to the best of our ability to people in financial need, schools, and charitable NGOs. Each handover is documented with a photo.
