We are a handful of nerds and philanthropists, and we take great joy in giving other people the chance for a better future.

Herta Rohrbeck

I grew up many decades ago in Burgenland, near the Hungarian border. The introduction of free textbooks made it possible for me to attend secondary school. After graduating, I moved to Vienna and stayed. At the age of 38, I earned a degree in general mechanics. Until my sudden hearing loss, I worked in a bicycle repair shop where welding, soldering, and frame alignment were still done. I also worked as a building caretaker and served as a member of the works council, advocating for my colleagues.
I found out about PCs for Everyone through a newspaper. I'm delighted to be a part of it and to make a small contribution!
